Description

The Bushbaby Inn is located in a small suburb in the East of Pretoria, called Lydiana. The proximity of the National Botanical Gardens and the old indigenous trees growing in the Inn's garden ensure that a miriad of bird species and the Bushbabies are permanent residents around the Inn.

The house which became the Inn was built in 1966 by Mr. Piet Grobler, grandson of Minister Piet Grobler who served in General Hertzog's cabinet during the 1920's. The farm the Groblers lived on was named after Lydia, Piet's wife. The suburb celebrates it's 50th birthday this year and became part of Greater Pretoria in 1964.

Lydiana had always been a place where guests and friends were welcomed with open arms and a cup of good coffee and so, in this tradition, the Bushbaby Inn will continue to do just that.

Extensive renovations created the five luxury bedrooms and public spaces and the furniture is mostly heirlooms from the Snyman and van der Walt families.
